Registry

We are registered at Crate and Barrel. (Type in “Lex Leifheit” or “Dan McKinley” and you’ll get to our registry.)

But as we now live in a tiny San Francisco studio apartment we have created a list of things people can get for us to make our married life in San Francisco a little more special. In return you’ll get a picture of us using or enjoying it.

So how does that work? Well, it’s easy, just look through the list below and if you see something you’d like to sponsor, simply click the donate button below and in the notes please describe which item or fund you’d like to contribute to. Thank you!!!

If you’ve found an item that you’re curious about but would like some additional information or would prefer to physically obtain the object yourself please email Dan’s sister Maria and she’ll be happy to give you more info.

  • Future Home Fund ($1 & up)
We may live in a small studio apartment now, but we hope to eventually upgrade our digs. Help us get started.
  • Couch Fund ($1 & up)
Now that we’re grown-ups, help us graduate from Salvation Army sofas to something a little more stylish.
  • Local Groceries ($75)
We care about eating well and there is a small locally-owned market one block from our apartment. Help us buy local and support our neighborhood grocer.
  • Date Night ($75)
Treat the newlyweds to dinner at Emmy’s Spaghetti Shack, a cozy getaway a few blocks from home in Bernal Heights.
  • Wine & Cheese ($50)
Nothing’s better than a foggy Sunday afternoon with a book and some crudite, and the 24th St Cheese Co. is a local favorite.
  • Shoe Fund ($1–350)
As those who have visited us know San Francisco is a walking (and running) city. Help us walk in style and comfort by contributing to the shoe fund.
  • All those wedding photos have to go somewhere, right?
  • Art Fund ($1–600)
We love art, and San Francisco nonprofits love art auctions. Help us support local artists and decorate our home together.
  • Coffee ($15 & up)
We discovered Stumptown Coffee Roasters on a weekend getaway to Portland. We love the Holler Mountain Blend.
  • Farmers Market Fun ($50 & up)
On lazy saturdays, we head to the Ferry Building Farmers Market for Hayes Grill crabcake sandwiches, Blue Bottle coffee, and fresh ingredients for weekend meals.
  • Sweet Tooth ($50)
Ridiculously good American craft chocolate from Mast Bros.
  • Nothing’s better than takeout after a long day at work. Except Dan’s cooking.
  • Getaway Fund ($1 & up)
We’ve been lucky to have some weekend adventures, help us continue the tradition!
  • Giants Tickets ($75–100)
Dan loves baseball, and Lex, well, loves going to baseball games with him.
  • Donate to SOMArts ($1 & up)
Giving to a cause we believe in is an investment in our community. By donating to SOMArts you support equitable access to the arts in SF.
  • Donate to MASS MoCA
They support exciting contemporary art and have some pretty sweet graphic design. What’s not to love?
